White Haven Churches hold

WELCOME SUNDAY - April 12th

A message from the White Haven Community Ministerium Pastors:

As the local ministers have gathered every 3rd Thursday of the month, we have discovered a common love for God and love for this community.  We have also seen that there are many needs in the White Haven area.  Maybe you’ve been a recipient of our local food bank.

One of the other needs we would like to address is you.  Maybe you’ve never been to church.  Maybe it’s been years since you set foot into one of the local sanctuaries.  Maybe you regularly worship in a faith community.  Maybe you come to services just a few times a year.  We want you to know that we are here for you.  If you need someone to chat with, if you need physical assistance, if you need to discover your next step with God, if you know something is missing and need a new kind of relationship, we welcome you to your community’s churches.

We have designated Sunday, April 12 as Welcome Sunday.

We know many folks will come to church on Easter Sunday, but a real sign of your heart’s desire to move forward with God will find its joy on the Sunday after Easter

Please consider this invitation and know that God has a place for you here in one of these faith communities.  We hope to see you Sunday April 12th!

RECENT MESSAGES

March 22
Children are Valuable Because They Are a Gift from God
Psalm 127 tells us that provision, protection and children are all gifts from the Lord. Unless God gives them to us, we cannot get them for ourselves. As a church we prayed for a long time that God would give us children. Today we celebrate all of these wonderful gifts he has given to us.

The Power of the Forbidden Fruit and How to Overcome it
The message we will hear in this scripture is this: when life is all about trying to follow the rules, it is impossible not to be tempted to break them.  But in Christ, we are now free from giving into temptations.
Romans 7:4-8 & Romans 8:12-13

God-centered friendships
We are currently in a series on learning about Being close… How to do loving relationships.  Today we talk about the relationship between close friends.  The scripture today is about the account of David and Jonathan.  Their relationship is one of the best stories of Godly friendship in the whole Bible.  Let’s listen for what God has to teach us from them.
1 Samuel 20:11-17

What Ephesians says about the husband’s relationship to the wife
Last week we looked at the wife’s respectful relationship to her husband.  This week, it’s the guys’ turn.
Ephesians 5:21-33

This Month's Memory Verse
"and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."
